The out-going Lady Captain, Sue Hall, presented cheques to the Samaritans of Grantham and the South Lincs Blind Society before the commencement of the Ladies AGM. Throughout the year the ladies have worked tirelessly raising funds by hosting golf competitions; the Charity Am Am in July, the Lady Captains fun competitions in the winter, raffles and providing refreshments on some weekend events. This year the funds have been boosted by sponsorship form the car company Inchcape.
The amount raised, in the region of £4.000, was divided between the charities. Both Margaret and Malcolm gave a short outline of how the donation would be used in their organisation.
The AGM then continued with the election of officers and committee members. Sue Hall gave a short report thanking her committee and all who had contributed to making her year enjoyable. She presented the in-coming Lady Captain, Paula Marshall, with her Lady Captain’s jumper, tankard and brooch. She wished Lady Captain Paula every success for the coming year and hoped she would enjoy it as much as she had.

Helen Long took the Centenary Trophy for the best aggregate score for Senior Ladies. The Joan Page Trophy for the most improved player of the year went to Gill Mahoney. Congratulations go to these ladies for their consistency of play throughout the season.
