Thirty two Belton Park ladies entered the nine hole 4 club competition on Sunday. On this bright, crisp but slightly blustery day, the ladies played this medal competition on the Ancaster course (holes 19-27) armed with their chosen selection of three clubs and a putter. The course was in excellent condition. The rain of the previous day had reduced the roll on the fairways but not the speed of the greens, quite a challenge with only 4 clubs in your golf bag.
The ladies gathered in the club house following play for the presentation to the winners. The scores were very close with Jackie Scott in first place on 36, second Kathleen Bell 36.5 and third Sheila Mason 37.
The first of the November stableford competition was played on the Tuesday. This was a combined competition with some ladies who were unable to play on the Tuesday playing on the prior Sunday. There was also a nine hole stableford competition run a long side the 18 hole for those who preferred. The results in the Silver Division were a win for Jane Renfrew 37 points, second Gill Briggs 35 points with Pam Wiggins third on 34points. In the Bronze Division, Sue Hall was first 37points, second Grace Hale36 points and third Denise Adams 33points
