Ladies MacMillan Day

From the left Marjie Thompson, Club Professional Sarah Walton, Vice-Captain Paula Marshall, Lady Captain Sue Hall and Olga Ebsworth.
The new Club Professional, Sarah Walton was on the first tee to take the ladies’ first drive of the competition for a donation. The majority of the ladies took Sarah’s drive even if it landed in a bunker! The ladies played a four ball better ball stableford competition. They had a break at the half way point to enjoy a drink and delicious homemade cake. Later in the clubhouse they had an opportunity to win a raffle prize.
The event raised £200 for a local cancer charity. The winners were Enid Maltby and Jools Taylor with 43pts, from Nicola Routledge and Sue Addis 43pts on count back with Marjie Thompson and Olga Ebsworth third with 42pts.
