History of Belton Park Golf Club – Book Launch
Over the last 10 years or so, Elizabeth Sharp has been the driving force on researching the history of our club with the aim of producing and releasing a book for members and visitors to enjoy.
All the hard work is about to come to fruition as the finished article has gone to print and we hope to release the book at the end of the month.

The showpiece social event of the year is on Saturday 24th September – 7.30pm arrival to 1.00am. The evening features a Champagne/Bucks Fizz reception, 5 course dinner, wine and entertainment from the fabulous “Rogues of Rhythm”.
Tickets are priced £40 per person and they will go on sale in the Clubhouse on Saturday 20th August at 12 noon. (Note – the price increase this year is due to the fact that we must now charge VAT on ticket sales. In previous years, as a CASC member, it was exempt.)
We hope you are able to join us and give Captains Paul and Sheila a memorable evening.

There is a noticeable increase in the number of cars that are being parked on the double yellow lines in the car park. The double yellow lines are there to ensure there is an easy passage for cars but, more importantly, for emergency services and delivery vehicles.
All members are asked to observe the double yellow lines at all times. Thank you.
E-Cigarettes & Vaping
The House Committee have been asked to consider the use of e-cigarettes in the Clubhouse, as members are of the opinion that their use appears to be increasing.
The House Committee has decided that the use of e-cigarettes will no longer be permitted internally at the golf club. This rule applies with immediate effect.
Course Maintenance & Improvements
Monday 26th September to Friday 30th September is course maintenance week. To confirm, this does not mean the course is closed but that Lee and his team have a free hand to close tees in order that they can carry out essential work on the course.
In addition, we are planning to refurbish the pond on the 14th as it is badly silted and needs a good sort out. Hole 4 will be out of play while this work is being done.
Whilst the work has been finely planned, it is difficult to advise of exact tee closures at this point but we would like to thank the members in advance for their co-operation and understanding.
August Bank Holiday Weekend
This looks to be a busy but hugely enjoyable weekend.
We have the exciting double bill of Pro’s Day on Saturday 27th August, followed by President’s Day on Sunday 28th.

President’s Day features two trophies… Gentlemen will play for the President’s Trophy and the Ladies for the Vice President’s Trophy. The format will be pairs betterball stableford.
Both are available for bookings on BRS but hurry as they are filling fast.
