The 2nd FUN GOLF event took place on Tuesday 24th Nov with 9 Teams of 3 taking part in a Bamford Multiplier competition. This format was new to most of the members with the Stableford score for each of the players being multiplied to give the team score for that hole. The scoring system means that a ‘blob’ on the hole by one of the team drastically reduced the team score as 1/2 point was earned by that player; Manny Barker re named the score for that player but was far too rude to repeat!!!
Weather on the morning was cool but everyone completed the day without getting too wet. Considering the low temperatures and the dampness of the course there were some excellent scores on the day.
Results on the day
Tony Davies,David Dobney & Norman Halliday 134 points
Nick Craft, Tony Noble & Colin Farrington 109,5 points
