The ever popular Colin Elstone Christmas Charity AM-AM was contested last Saturday (13th) under the watchful eye of John Kirkup who took over the reins this year from Trevor Ireland & Alec King after 25 years of being at the helm of this much converted event. A frosty, cold but sunny start greeted the 128 players who competed in teams of 4 with the best 2 scores to count on each hole, but this didn’t deter the membership from producing some fine golf under the chilly conditions.

The Ladies Christmas Charity competition was held on the 7th December and raised £215 which was added to the amount raised by the men’s completion which gave a grand total of £2060. A cheque was presented on the day to Lorraine Ray of Parkinson’s UK by the newly installed Club Captains Tony Nickson and Joy Stepney.
