Belton Park Golf Club players made history when both the first and second teams were crowned county champions.
It is the first time any county club has achieved this particular double, and meant Grantham seconds retained their title from last year. They also won the crown in 2005.
The finals were played at Burghley Park GC on Saturday and pitched the Belton winners of their respective South leagues against rivals from the noth of the county, Woodhall Spa and Forest Pines GC.
The first team, made up of Mark Sutton, Ed Glenn, Anthony Wagstaff, Chris Haynes, Mark Kokocinski, Jack Diment, Matt Haynes, John Duke, Chris Burns, Michael Jappy, Steve Mitchell and Leon Bell, looked to have a tough day ahead of them.
However, that did not prove to be the case and Belton Park proved too strong for Woodhall Spa, winning 4½ – 1 ½.
The victory was all the sweeter given that Woodhall Spa had defeated Belton Park in the Elsham Foursomes Final earlier in the season.
Other players who have featured for the first team this year were Dan Keddie, Rob Keddie, Simon Pullen, Nigel Harris, Terry Guest, Aidan Greenberry, Josh Smith and Carl Gelder.
The second team of David Price, Rob Chapple, Adrian Allen, James Marshall, Mike Hallam, Michael L Sims, Neil Harvey, Peter Sargent, Carl Gelder, Gordon Lumsden, Tony Gleave and James Philpotts also looked to have a tricky encounter, but made light of their opposition, winning 6-0.
Other members of the second team this year have been Terry Guest, Chris Mottershead, David Midgley, Greg Meehl, Ross Denton, Tom Price, Tim Stubbs, Michael Green and Nigel Illingworth.
