The Section was formed in 1975 so that members of Belton Park Golf Club who have reached the age of 55 years and are largely retired are able to meet once a week to enjoy a sociable game of golf with new or long standing friends. We achieve this by participating in weekly draws (starting at 0800) for a variety competitions. Some of these events are accompanied by lunch and we enjoy other social events which may sometimes include dinner. Through the summer we have a large fixture list of matches against local clubs, both home and away.
The Club courteously allows us use of the course on Tuesdays at specific times and we are asked to ensure that golf etiquette and the facilities are maintained to the usual high standards of Belton Park.
The Section is open to all BPGC members who are 55 and over, retired and/or are available to play regularly on a Tuesday.
For further information please contact the Secretary, Keith Brown on 01529 241049 or e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org There is a small annual subscription, currently £5.
New members are always welcome.
